Liana is an imaginative photographer and graphic editor/retoucher specializing in portraiture, editorial, and commercial imagery, based in the Northern Jersey area. She received her B.F.A. in photography with a minor in graphic design from the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University in the spring of 2023. Liana includes personal work that explores the human form immersed in environments that reflect her intimate emotions and the complexities that carry. Her photographs particularly unfold experiences from early adolescence, to her twenties such as nostalgia, fantasy, memory, and trauma that come in many forms. Illustrating emotions that root from particular experiences while translating her imagination solely from her head, is a recurring theme within her imagery.

 

While she admires capturing these fragments of her life in various suburban and rural environments, she also enjoys capturing moments in the lighting studio while experimenting with varied artificial lighting and props. Throughout her artistic practice, Liana continues to further discover her sentimental relation to conceptual, editorial, and commercial-based work.
