Biography

Liana is an imaginative, multidisciplinary photographer, retoucher, and graphic designer, specializing in portrait, editorial, and commercial imagery. She combines strong technical execution in both photography and design with a personal artistic lens that explores emotion, diverse environments, and the complexities of the human form. She received her B.F.A. in photography with a minor in graphic design from the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University in the spring of 2023.

Her personal work examines the human form within environments that mirror her intimate emotions and lived experiences. She admires capturing fragments of her life in various suburban and rural settings, while also exploring moments in the lighting studio where she experiments with artificial lighting and props. These images unfold themes from early adolescence into her twenties—such as nostalgia, fantasy, memory, and trauma. Throughout her artistic practice, Liana continues to discover her sentimental connection to conceptual, editorial, and commercial-based work, translating her imagination into visual form and illustrating emotions rooted in specific experiences.
